Kai’s kickstart blog.

Hi, my name is Kai, I recently joined the Yes team as a trainee administrator, and I’ll be recording my journey in a monthly blog. 

It’s been just over a month since I started my new role and it really has been amazing, but also very challenging at times. I’ve learned lots of new skills in a short space of time and I’m learning more and more every day. 

Since starting the role I have had to do a lot of different tasks I never imagined doing, also having the confidence and ability to complete the tasks, such as producing Excel spreadsheets and website development, responding to clients and working with the frontline team, supporting our clients. I have met some wonderful customers and there are some real characters who attend the Yes centres. 

I already feel like an integral part of the Yes team and It’s a thrill and honor to be so. I also feel like I now have responsibilities, unlike at previous jobs in the past, and this makes me thrive and makes me more determined to work at 100% capacity. 

This job has made me experience and learn more in one month than jobs I’ve been at for several, not just in a work environment also in life and I am grateful for every day I have here and will do my ultimate best for the time I remain.
