Yes wins funding for a brand-new course from Manchester Adult Education Service.

For the very first time, Yes is now able to deliver training to help people needing support to recognise and overcome barriers to getting a job, thanks to funding from the Community Learning Fund, provided by MAES at MCC.

For the very first time, Yes is now able to deliver training to help people needing support to recognise and overcome barriers to getting a job, thanks to funding from the Community Learning Fund, provided by MAES at MCC.

The course, ‘Yes to Employment’ which will be run from the Briscoe Lane centre, is designed to help people needing extra help to help themselves, gaining in confidence and knowledge so they can successfully apply for work.

It includes two days work experience, as well looking at how to write a CV and fill out an application form, as well as the essentials of succeeding in an interview.

“This is a real milestone in our development as the primary independent agency for people who are under- or unemployed in North Manchester” said Sammy Logan, Employability Support Manager.

“We will be working with employers and with customers over the coming months to ensure it meets their needs and delivers real results – people getting jobs!” she added.
