Yes Manchester held it’s very first AGM since becoming independent of Northwards Housing, on 28th October 2021.
The event was held at Vermillion, on Lord North Street in North Manchester. Vermillion is a luxurious event venue and restaurant – and the plush surroundings elevated the proceedings considerably!
Once the formalities of the AGM were over, an invited audience of local people and stakeholders, including Councillors and officers from Manchester City Council, heard Yes Manchester’s directors and senior staff talk about the transition process and the future of the organisation.
We were delighted to be joined by Maisie Ellul, our Digital Champion Co-ordinator’s – Marika – talented daughter, who played the violin during the break, and by four amazing young men being taught by Manchester Breakdance who brought the house down!
We were also joined by Councillor Gavin White, Executive Member for Housing and Employment at MCC who delivered a short speech about the exciting developments coming up in North Manchester.
Our thanks to Cllr White, Vermillion and everyone that attended.
