Position:** Housing Manager
Hours:** 40 hours per week (35 working hours plus lunch breaks)
Salary:** Starting at £28,000
**About Us:**
We are seeking an experienced Housing Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing tenant management, staff coordination, and strategic financial decisions. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in housing management, excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, and a proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
**Responsibilities:**
– Utilise a minimum of 2 years of experience in housing management to manage residential properties and tenant relationships efficiently.
– Demonstrate a successful track record in staff management, ensuring effective supervision of office staff and manual workers.
– Lead tenant management initiatives, maintaining positive relations, addressing concerns, and fostering community involvement.
– Accurately write and type meeting minutes, ensuring an organised record of discussions and decisions.
– Exhibit flexibility to work independently while also collaborating seamlessly within a team environment.
– Display strategic thinking in managing finances and resources, contributing to the organization’s financial stability.
– Demonstrate initiative by making informed decisions and creatively solving problems that arise in day-to-day operations.
– Embrace a commitment to equality and diversity, treating all individuals with respect and dignity.
– Uphold customer service excellence by adhering to established standards and actively promoting customer service initiatives.
– Work collaboratively with the TMO (Tenant Management Organization) board, fostering effective communication and partnership.
**Qualifications:**
– Minimum of 2 years of housing management experience.
– Proficiency in English language, both spoken and written.
– Strong organisational skills, with the ability to analyse and creatively solve problems.
– Previous experience in staff management and team coordination.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
– Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to treating all individuals with respect.
– Demonstrated commitment to complying with equality and diversity standards.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document meeting minutes.
– Ability to work closely with the TMO board to achieve shared objectives.
